Sarah Preu

Sarah Preu is a lifelong Kansan who has called the 3rd District home for 25 years. A technology and communications professional and former small business owner, she raised two kids in the same communities she's running to represent.

She voted for Sharice Davids twice. She canvassed for her. But after watching her representative take AIPAC money, vote to fund ICE, and walk a line that put her squarely alongside conservatives, vote after vote, Sarah decided the Kansas 3rd deserved a voice that actually reflects its values.

She's not running against Democrats. She's running for the ones who've stopped being heard.

The Issues

When we move the goalposts to make room for corporate directives, we water down what makes us Democrats. Here's where Sarah stands.

Abolish ICE

No qualms. No apologies. Seventy percent of Americans, including independent swing voters, do not support ICE. This is not a radical position. It is a bipartisan one.

Healthcare Is a Right

No American should choose between rent and insulin. No family should go bankrupt because someone got sick. We can't say we can't fund ACA subsidies while sending billions overseas for weaponry.

Accessible Education

Americans are carrying the highest debt in decades. College should be a path forward, not a trap. Our children deserve opportunity, not a lifetime of payments.

Immigrants Make Us Strong

Kansas knows this. Our immigrant workforce is what makes our economy and our communities strong. It has been true for hundreds of years. Kansans know better than to believe otherwise.

No AIPAC Money. Ever.

Sarah will never take AIPAC money, and will never do the bidding of a country committing war crimes. The United States sends billions in weaponry to a nation with free healthcare and free college while Americans suffer at home.

No Corporate PAC Money

Citizens United is a cancer on our democracy. Sarah will not take corporate PAC money and will not answer to lobbyists. When representatives follow corporate directives, our party cannot survive.
